A marae is a fenced in complex of carved buildings and grounds that belongs to a particular iwi tribe hapu sub tribe or whānau family.

The wharenui is a place where you can resemble the human body So u are connected to your ancestor.So you are with your ancestor and with your tribe and hapu.

The Marae meeting grounds is the focal point of Maori communities throughout new Zealand to get together
